Unemployment rate is increasing day by day. Most of the people who are now struggling with job and found themselves unemployed for several months or some month ago are considering over going back to school and gets some more qualification or training in another field. Through this option Unemployed people get money and they can use it for their education and the best part of this is you never have to repay back it. The chances of getting this grant are higher with the lower amount of your income. If you are fulfilling other criteria and you are unemployed then the chances of getting higher amount is more. If you are in the job then also you can apply for this but your income must be low. To qualify for this you must be enrolled with the higher learning institute that is a participant in the Pell program and you must be US citizen.

To apply for this you must visit FASA website (fafsa.ed.gov). Fill the application forma. While filling form you are required to submit your driver's license, social security number and the last year's tax return handy. You can get amount up to $5350 per year. You can use this money for you tuition, school supplies or anything which is related to your education.

According to the new policy passed last month by the Obama administration, those who are out of work but wish to use the Pell money for retraining can continue collecting unemployment benefits. The one drawback of this Pell Grants for unemployed is this is not for the people who already have bachelor's degree. This is only for the people who have entered in to job without having any higher educational degree.
